Thomas Naatz - Texas Heat

Thomas plays in the band "Texas Heat".

In 2009, TEXAS HEAT released their first album of original material, the 14 song collection "One-Trick Pony", which was critically acclaimed all across Europe. The band won the Country Song Contest on in 2009 with their original song "Three Bottles Left", which has since proven to be a fan-favorite. In 2010, the band can be seen and heard on many major European Country Music festivals such as Albisguetli (Switzerland), Geiselwind and Koetz (both in Germany), Wolztyn (Poland), and Silkeborg (Denmark), which is a return visit after their first appearance back in 2008.

In March 2010, TEXAS HEAT started a cooperation with the local women's handball Bundesliga team and current German Cup winner Bayer 04 Leverkusen, known as "Die Elfen" (the elves), by recording a German version of their album track "Let 'er Roll", titled "Wir helfen den Elfen", to support the team, and they performed the song at various home games last season, including the first final for the National Championship. That cooperation will also continue throughout the current season.

Currently, work has started to record a new album. A pre-release single has been tentatively scheduled for release in February 2011.

TEXAS HEAT was recently nominated for two German awards (Deutscher Countrypreis) in the categories "Best Duo or Group" and "Fan's Favorite", the latter being a fan-voted award. Bernd Wolf was nominated in yet another category, "Song Of The Year", for a duet with Barry P. Foley. The winners will be announced in February 2011.
